For Deysi Viviana Salazar Tenorio, a career at Wellbore Integrity Solutions (WIS) has been defined by continuous learning, professional growth, and the opportunity to take on new challenges. Based in El Coca, Ecuador, Deysi joined WIS in May 2023 and has quickly progressed from a Junior Field Engineer role to Field Engineer Level 1.

Reflecting on her career journey, Deysi credits her growth to a strong interest in field operations and a willingness to embrace new opportunities.

“Over time, I developed a strong interest in field operations and, through my performance, was given the opportunity to transition directly into field operations and advance to the role of Field Engineer Level 1.”

Today, Deysi is responsible for executing fishing and well intervention operations, maintaining direct communication with clients, and contributing to operational decision-making. She enjoys the variety and problem-solving that comes with the role, where no two jobs are exactly alike.

“Each job presents unique conditions that require analyzing information, evaluating alternatives, and making technical decisions to achieve the client’s objectives.”

When asked what initially attracted her to WIS, Deysi points to the opportunity to grow within a global organization, collaborate with professionals from around the world, and participate in highly specialized operations. What has kept her at WIS is the ability to continuously learn, take on new challenges, and develop both technically and professionally.
